SWISS Extends Dubai Flight Suspension Until October 24
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced that its flights between Switzerland and Dubai will remain suspended until October 24, extending the pause until the end of the current summer flight schedule.
The airline stated that the decision was made for operational reasons while it continues to closely monitor developments across the Middle East. SWISS confirmed that it remains in regular contact with aviation authorities and partners within the Lufthansa Group to assess the situation and ensure passenger safety.
Passengers affected by cancelled flights will have the option to rebook their travel plans free of charge or request a full refund for their tickets. The airline has encouraged customers to check the latest flight updates before making travel arrangements.
Earlier this year, SWISS temporarily suspended flights to several Middle Eastern destinations due to growing regional tensions. In March, the airline extended the suspension of flights to Dubai and Tel Aviv until the end of May. Dubai services were later suspended for a longer period as security concerns persisted.
The disruptions follow heightened tensions involving Iran, Israel, the United States, and several Gulf nations. The uncertain security environment in the region has led multiple airlines to review flight operations and adjust schedules where necessary.
While Dubai flights remain suspended, SWISS expects to resume services to Tel Aviv on July 1, according to its latest schedule update. The airline will continue evaluating conditions before fully restoring its Middle East network.
At the same time, SWISS is expanding operations on another important international route. Due to strong passenger demand, the airline will continue operating an enhanced service between Zurich and Delhi until the end of the summer timetable. In addition to the regular daily flight, a second daily service using an Airbus A330 aircraft will remain available.
